Today, yours truly ventured into a stadium filled with clowns, freaks and Chinamen — as part of the Youth Adventure Program, I attended The Greatest Show On Earth (aka Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus).
I haven’t been for at least 10 years and I was surprisingly entertained (even LOLed a couple times). The dog and pony show was actually captivating and a bit engrossing (how on earth do they train the dogs, or for that matter, any of the animals, to work harmoniously in tandem). Needless to say, the coordination was excellent considering elephants and tigers were the debutante actors (or so I assume).
Anyways, if the circus stops by your hometown sometime, be sure to visit the bearded woman and three-eyed man exhibit.
Note: the clowns were curiously amusing and the ringmaster reminded me of Cleavon Little from Blazing Saddles.
