Is it a bird, a plane, Superman even? No, it’s a UFO of course!

I don’t quite understand these UFO flying-saucer gurus.

Guess what?

There is a huge group of professionals that spend all day and night meticulously studying the skies and none of them ever promote that stuff.*

They’re called astronomers and meteorologists.

And guess what they don’t see in the skies? Captain Jean Luc Picard, Vulcans or Borg Cubes. Nor do they see galactic battlegrounds comprised of laser-wielding jetfighters.

This frustration culminated upon reading an interview with Joe Firmage the creator of Digital Universe (a commercial-type of Wikipedia). Good grief, just because you spoke to a general who believes he saw a UFO does not mean that it wasn’t Venus instead (remember ol’ Jimmy Carter’s sighting?).

*This is not to say that “intelligent life” does not exist outside the solar system, it simply means that ET as enshrined by pop culture or espoused by convention-going-types, is currently unfounded (though admittedly there was this neighbor of mine who looked like a Klingon).
