South Korea’s Got Seoul

Earlier today, Stephan Kinsella pointed to an interesting write-up from Business Week on a growing trend in South Korea.  Apparently there is a large industry for students wanting to “cram” for material that will help them better prepare for college.  These for-profit firms hire “star” teachers whom are apparently very personable and reportedly as popular as some movie actors/celebrities.  They then pay them a percentage of sales (i.e. commission).  Interesting business model, perhaps it is part of the future…
