It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a blimp

I’ve seen a couple of interesting stories on placing telecom equipment (e.g. cell phone gear, WiFi) onto blimps and lofting them into stationary locations in the stratosphere.

Today, Wired News outlines one such plan.
